Introduction


Now that you have recovered from surgery and are getting "back to normal," the fun begins! You will feel a great sense of accomplishment and pride as you incorporate exercise and nutritious eating to your life. You will experience success as you fully participate in everything from lifestyle changes to group meetings. Remember that the bariatric team members are available to support you.
Below is a printable checklist.



Recovery Checklist
Carefully follow the post-operative diet
Maintain a regular exercise program
Attend support group meetings
Exercise regularly.
If you find you need emotional support, please visit with a licensed healthcare professional

If you are experiencing difficulty or plateaus with your weight loss, take the following steps:

  1. Keep a diary intake record for 3 consecutive days.
  2. Keep an exercise log in conjunction with the diary intake record.
  3. Re-asses your exercise regimen. Change intensity, duration, type, and frequency.
  4. Talk with the program director if you need further assistance.
  5. Visit with the dietitian.
